Our Story
Built by People Who Understand the Whole Building
FirstLine was built on a simple idea: a contractor should understand the whole building, not just the part they were hired to touch.
Our work spans construction, roofing, and restoration, so we see how buildings are put together and how they fail when details are missed. That experience shapes every project we build.
One family of companies
- FirstLine Construction. Residential and commercial general contracting.
- FirstLine Roofing. Roof replacement, repair, and leak investigation.
- FirstLine Restoration. Water, fire, and mold mitigation and remediation.
Leadership
The People Behind FirstLine
FirstLine is a family-owned company led by husband-and-wife team Scott and Melissa Gordon.
Scott M. Gordon
Scott has nearly 30 years in the construction industry, starting on job sites at 14. Originally from New York, he moved to Florida in 2005 and has called Parkland home ever since. He leads FirstLine Construction Corp., established in 2017, along with its FirstLine Roofing and FirstLine Restoration divisions.
His work spans ground-up construction, complex rebuilds, storm response, large-loss recovery, complex insurance claims, and redevelopment projects where experience, licensing depth, and precision matter. He is a Florida Certified General Contractor and Certified Roofing Contractor, a licensed mold remediator and mold assessor, a licensed independent insurance adjuster, and an IICRC-certified restoration professional who serves on the IICRC Water Restoration Technician Exam Review Committee.
Scott is committed to giving back to the community he lives in. He serves as Ambassador Chair of the Parkland Chamber of Commerce, is a former president of Parkland Little League, and volunteers his time and expertise with local organizations and charities.
Melissa Gordon
Melissa brings more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry to FirstLine. She has been a licensed realtor since 2003 and is IICRC certified as a Water Restoration Technician (WRT).
A business owner, entrepreneur, and community advocate, Melissa was named one of the 100 Women of Impact by the organization’s Palm Beach chapter, and supports Alzheimer’s research and caregiver initiatives, including CaringKind.
