Wind Code

Built for the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone

Broward and Miami-Dade homes are built to the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone provisions of the Florida Building Code, with stricter requirements for roofing, fastening, and openings.

The connections you never see after drywall are what hold a house together in a storm. We build them to the drawings and make sure they pass inspection the first time.

The load path we build

  • Footings and slab. The foundation everything anchors to.
  • Walls and tie beams. Reinforced CMU and concrete.
  • Roof connections. Straps and fasteners at every truss.
  • Roof deck and covering. Fastened and installed to product approval.
  • Openings. Impact windows and doors installed to their approvals.

Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you build on my lot?

Yes. We build custom homes on lots you own, including knockdown rebuilds where an existing home is demolished first.

Do you provide house plans?

We build from your architect’s drawings, or coordinate design with licensed architects and engineers through our design-build process.

How long does a new home take?

It depends on size, design, and permitting. Once we review your drawings we give you a project-specific schedule.

How will I know what is happening during construction?

We give you a schedule upfront and update you as the project moves, not just when something goes wrong.
